Round 2

18TH MARCH 2018 – HENHAM PARK, SUFFOLK

Henham Park (home to the Latitude Festival) makes its debut in the MSG Series for 2015. We have been in discussion to use Henham Park since the beginning of 2014 and therefore we’re very pleased to make a race there a reality!

G has worked incredibly hard to create our first course and although it is not as technical as Carver it stills offers a little bit of something for everyone. We think it’s a great new course in a lovely setting that provides easy access to viewing and represents loads of potential for the future!

We hope you’re as excited as we are about racing at Henham so please don’t delay and get your entry in!!

Round 3

15TH APRIL 2018 – LEE VALLEY VELOPARK, LONDON

Lee Valley VeloPark is at the northern end of Queen Elizabeth Olympic Park. It has a velodrome and BMX racing track, which have been used for the Games, as well as a one-mile (1.6 km) road course and 5 miles (8 km) of mountain bike trails.

The park replaces the Eastway Cycle Circuit demolished to make way for it. The facilities built for the Olympics were constructed between 2009 and 2011. The first event in the Velopark was the London round of the 2011 UCI BMX Supercross World Cup series.

Round 4

6TH MAY 2018 – PHOENIX BIKE PARK, KENTFORD, SUFFOLK

Phoenix Cycleworks is owned, built and run by local riders. The event area is a relatively small area but they certainly have maximised what can be achieved and have done an amazing job of creating a fun and testing features and when all added together is a blast!

Round 5

27TH MAY 2018 – CARVER BARRACKS, ESSEX – REGIONAL CHAMPS

Carver Barracks formally a wartime airfield is now home to the Royal Engineers 101 and 33 squadrons, for the past year Walden Velo along with Newdales Cycles have been given permission to use the site for MTB events which we ran as a mid-week evening series last summer. Although we lack any hills the airfield is surrounded by woods within which we have a network of single-tracks, ditches and the odd Tank mound! Furthermore, we have added log drop-offs and rock features to keep you on your toes , these are all linked by gravel roads and deer tracks. Put this all together and you have a fast flowing course that tests your fitness levels and your technical skills.

Round 6

1ST JULY 2018 – HINTLESHAM, SUFFOLK

Hintlesham is a small quiet village part way between Ipswich and the ancient Market Town of Hadleigh, (not that one). We can highly recommend the pie menu at the nearby and well known George Public House.  Hill Farm is a private venue, where we are welcomed by the Bostock family who own the farm and the woods through which you will be racing. We are very grateful to them for that privilege and we ask that you only ride here on our race days. The course itself winds its way around the woodland and paths that run throughout it. It’s a great makeup of wide trails with plenty of overtaking and new trails that G have been busily planning and fettling along with some fun ‘a line’ drops! See our Facebook page for loads more photos

Round 7

12TH AUGUST 2018 – RADICAL BIKES

Since opening in August 2009, Radical Bikes Community Interest Company has been building and developing a unique Trials, BMX and Dirt Jumping venue. We have built a strong community of riders, all with a common aim: To have fun on their bikes. Set in the Essex countryside, our 3.5 acre Centre can boast the best man-made Trials obstacles in the UK, together with a variety of Dirt jumps, Foam Pit and BMX ramps. The MSG course winds its way around the woodland that boarders the Radical Bikes centre, compromising of singletrack, flowing sections, many up and downs through the hundreds of bombholes making this a fantastic race course!! Please visit their website www.radicalbikes.co.uk and support this fantastic cycling facility!

Round 8

9TH SEPTEMBER 2018 – LANGDON HILLS

An old favourite for the MSG Series, Langdon Hills has been hosting MTB races for some time now with the excellent work by Havoc on the Hill organiser Geoff Fletcher enabling MSG to incorporate his race into the series in 2009. Always known for its challenging steep climbs and its fun descents through the woods Landgon Hills represents a challenge for all mountain bikers.
